4. Culligan® C&I Filtration Systems
Culligan offers a wide range of technologies, products and services to meet the water quality and quantity needs of our customers with high purity water applications.
Filtration is the process of removing particles from the water, absorbing undesired odors, tastes, colors and organic pollutants, eliminating iron, chlorine, manganese and arsenic, as well as neutralizing the water acidity. Simple in appearance, filtration is in reality a sophisticated water treatment process for use with in applications such as boiler feed water, cooling towers, injection water, and sterilization systems.
Our industrial filters and ultrafiltration systems are entirely manufactured in our Culligan plants. The vessels are made of steel and are protected by anti-corrosion coatings, a heavy layer of resin on the inside, and synthetic paint on the outside. On the industrial filters, the automatic cycles of service and backwash are regulated by a group of hydraulic valves driven by an electronic logic programmer.

In addition to killing mircoorganisms, UV water treatment can assist with total oxidizable carbon (TOC) reduction, chlorine/chloramine destruction, ozone destruction and microbial disinfection.
